This show is a collection of polaroids and other photographs, mostly non-traditional portraits of people in my surrounding communities. It speaks to intimacy, as well as the feeling of being just on the outside of things, whether by choice or by circumstance. I want to create space in my work for a wide range of identities to be appreciated, and I shoot as a way to connect to people around me more closely.

Artist Bio:
I was given my first 35mm camera when I was 8 and I’ve hardly put it down since then. I am passionate about film and the analog process as a whole. After dropping out of art school 14 years ago, last semester I returned to the Fine Art program at the University of New Orleans.
